Children & Students

We are dedicated to and passionate about passing on our faith in Jesus to the next generation. In our children's and youth ministries, we create safe and fun environments where they can learn what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Our amazing staff and volunteers are a big part of this. Every person that works with our children and youth undergoes a routine background check, and is placed in an area of ministry that fits their skills and passions.

Nursery

We have nursery available during each of our services for ages 0-3. Your child is very important to us and we do our best to provide a loving, nurturing and safe environment for your child. Our purpose is to help each child feel comfortable, happy, loved and secure from a young age.

Our nursery is well equipped and fully staffed by caring volunteers. The guidelines and training that we give our volunteers reflects the high standards of hygiene and safety necessary to maintain proper care of your infant. For example, small toys are sterilized and larger toys wiped down after every service. Our volunteer staff is ready to assist you and answer any of your questions.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

On Sunday mornings at 9:45, we hold Sunday School classes for all ages of children and students, including junior high and high school. Our teachers are passionate about working with children and teaching the Bible in a way that they can understand. It is a great opportunity for students to learn about Jesus with kids their own age.

For more information about our Sunday School, contact Cady Schmidt (elementary students) or Tony Willsher (junior high and high school students).

Awana

AWANA is an excellent children's program offered on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00. Over 100 kids from our church and community come together during the school year to play games, memorize Bible verses, and learn Bible lessons. But AWANA is more than just a Wednesday night program, it is a relational setting where every child gets individual attention and encouragement from one of our incredible adult volunteers. Through this process of mentoring and learning God's Word, our AWANA kids learn about faith in Jesus Christ and what it means to follow Jesus.

AWANA is for children age 3 through 6th grade. Parents of 3 year-olds are required to stay on campus from 6:30-8:00 while their child attends his/her class.

For more information about Awana, contact Cady Schmidt.

Genesis Youth Ministry

Genesis is a welcoming community of teens from different schools around the Cedar Valley and they gather for the purpose of growing as a disciples of Jesus and making disciples of Jesus. They meet every Wednesday night at 6:30 (6:00 during the summer). A typical night includes games, worship, a message from the Bible and small group discussion time. Other opportunities for teens in this ministry include: small groups, summer camps, mission trips, and retreats.

College Ministry

We have a long-standing ministry partnership with the UNI Navigators, so we encourage our college students to take part in what the Navigators do so well on the college campus: "advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost." During the school year, the UNI Navigators meets on campus weekly for Nav Night and holds small group Bible studies in dorms all throughout the week.
